Well It is not about the USA and it is technically not a religion. It is about us as people combined and the believe that something bigger is formed out of combining people and their passions. Something that can not be subtracted out of the individuals. Something holistic. It is a believe that can bring you to a higher level. More: http://jurmo.us/2006/07/01/do-you-believe-in-us/

And what did you do as your celebration? :)
I tried to check up your Us,religion, but didn't get the idea. I mean - there are your thoughts about US problems, but nothing religious. Or what?

Yes indeed... It seems it is not natural to share ideas online. Most is just consumed as it is. Maybe there is a generation gap...

As I think about it, it is all about bonding. The more someone feels connected, the more one will share him/herself. This connecting is maybe something I need to look into. It seems to be somewhat about influence or getting a good and familiar feeling.

Well thanks for your comment ;)

I know what you mean about somewhat disappointing amount of comments. I run a Swedish design blog together with three friends of mine. We've got between 50 and 100 visitors each day. A great deal of those visitors are friends from our former design school, which means that many of them got a history of 2 years of collaborating with each other.

Before we all graduated (and scattered), we wanted to build up a loose community based around a blog. We regularly encourage our visitors to send us their latest project for display on the blog etc. We hardly get any comments, projects or tips at all.

I have come to realize that just about 1% of our visitors got the energy and ambition to collaborate and build up a community. One other thing I have noticed is that the idea of exchanging ideas via blogs is something that's not natural for most people over the age of 25 today. It seems that alltough _blogs_ are a widely spread medium, blogging and the behavior of commenting is still an early adopter thing.
